Tip Top-SS316 Polished with Recessed Zirconium Ring - All Alps tip top frames feature S-6 (SS316 stainless steel) substrate material. Many Alps model feature the exclusive RRD frame/ring design. Alps tip top frames go through a proprietary tumbling process to assure a smooth, flawless finish. This proprietary process also enhances the plating quality by improving the bond between the plating and the frame surface.

All versions of S-6 (SS316 stainless steel) frames have passed the ASTM-B117 salt spray test for over 50 straight days (or 150 eight hour fishing trips) w/o any hint of corrosion due to saltwater exposure. All Alps tip top ceramic rings are carefully ground on the outside edge for perfect concentricity which enhances ceramic ring to guide frame fit. This tighter fit between the ring and the frame makes the guides more durable, and provides a more even gluing surface that helps prevent rings popping out from the frame.

All Alps tip top ceramic rings are carefully glued on each side of the frame with a proprietary bonding agent for superb adhesion of the guide ring to guide frame. Bottom line... your rings will not pop out of the guide frame. All tip top braces are carefully hand soldered to the tube for maximum strength.

Exclusive Recessed Ring design prevents ceramic ring from popping out

Unique bracing shape adds strengths without adding weight

Ideal for Light saltwater and Heavy freshwater use

All models feature SS316 stainless steel frame containing a lower carbon content for high-grade corrosion resistance US
